Job summary

Contrans Vrac is seeking Bulk AZ Long haul Open board Owner Operator to operate in Canada with cross-border work into the U.S. 4 openings are available. This role requires physical fitness, ability to lift up to 25 kg, and AZ license with valid CVOR/Driver's Abstract.

Expect long-haul routes, tarping loads, and on-site trailer maintenance. You will be responsible for pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading, and paperwork, while coordinating with dispatch and safety to ensure compliance and

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip inspections, involving climbing, lifting and operating the kingpin release.
• Loading and unloading Bulk/Dump products.
• Tarping trailers (opening/closing tarps) and securing loads.
• Cleaning trailers after unloading and during loading.
• Removing cross bows from trailer tops.
• Driving for 1–4 hours at a time, shifting transmissions.
• Handling equipment safely and addressing malfunctions.

Bulk AZ Long haul Open board Owner Operator

• Position #: 133
• Type: Full Time - Single - O/O
• Openings: 4

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading - climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

Employment Requirements:

• Must be physically fit to climb 12' in & out of dump trailers, approximately but not
• limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to lift 20 to 25 kg's of material in & out of trailers, approximately but not limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S Minimum of 1 year heavy haul experience
• Or 3 years over the road experience Licenses / Certificates: AZ license
• Qualifications / Skills: Good CVOR and good Drivers Abstract
• Will have to stay out 5 days
