Job Description

We currently have an opening for a Buildings Lead / Project Manager in the Municipal Group at our Saskatoon office.

In this role, you will leverage your extensive experience in client and project management to serve clients in the commercial, municipal, and industrial buildings sectors. Experience working directly with First Nations is an asset. Your responsibilities will include leading multidisciplinary teams through project development, planning, permitting, design, estimating, tendering, contract administration, and commissioning of building projects. These projects may include commercial, institutional, public infrastructure, and others. You will manage project teams to deliver projects within budget and schedule, oversee quality assurance, monitor project progress, and report to clients. Additionally, you will participate in business development, proposal writing, presentations, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the preparation of concepts, designs, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents; participate in scheduling, budgeting, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Advance projects through design and construction phases.
  • Manage existing clients and develop new business opportunities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Act as the primary contact for client communications.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Engage in business development, including proposal and marketing material preparation.
  • Mentor and coach project team members.
  • Collaborate across disciplines and offices.

Job Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Professional Engineer with APEGS.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in the Buildings sector.
  • Experience with private and public sector clients and processes.
  • Knowledge of First Nations projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven business development skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams and mentor staff.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • PMP designation is an asset.
  • Valid class 5 driver’s license and willingness to travel within SK.
