We are seeking Building Systems Students for our BC Region district, within our Canadian Buildings Division, available for a 4-12 month period starting in September 2025. This position will be under the direct supervision of the Building Systems Manager.

Here's how a Building Systems Student in our BC Region office contributes to our team:

• Reviewing all contract documentation including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical drawings, and specifications.
• Identifying potential delays or interferences prior to project start-up.
• Producing and maintaining a shop drawing log for all electrical equipment or material submittals and samples.
• Following up with trades for timely submissions or re-submissions.
• Assisting in reviewing and commenting on shop drawings before submission to consultants.
• Gathering input from electrical and mechanical subtrades regarding equipment and material delivery dates for scheduling.
• Performing quality control inspections with the consultant and Building Systems Coordinator/Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in working in a construction environment; prior field construction experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, and drafting tools.

Pay Range: $20.20 - $26

PCL determines student wages based on completed school terms, relevant work experience, role, and location.
