WSP in Canada, Regina or Saskatoon, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist to support Buildings – Mechanical & Electrical projects. You’ll work with experienced designers on HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems across commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential sectors.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognized Mechanical Engineering Technology or similar technologist program.
• Familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD; experience is an asset but not required.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.
• Exposure to NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA considered an asset.

Responsabilités

• Support HVAC, hydronics, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection system designs for multidisciplinary building projects.
• Assist with initial site investigations, field reviews, and contractor follow-ups during design and construction phases.
• Prepare design drawings using Revit or AutoCAD, contributing to coordinated drawing packages across disciplines.
• Perform technical calculations for heating/cooling loads, ventilation, water supply, and drainage systems.
• Contribute to specifications, engineering studies, design reports, and technical documentation.
• Support review of shop drawings, RFIs, and contract administration tasks during construction.
• Build strong working relationships with engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction partners.
