Summary

To provide maintenance and related trade support services to various buildings, leased and owned.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provides maintenance and related trade support services.
  2. Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs to various buildings such as H.V.A.C., plumbing, fire and security, environment and energy management, Client Comfort Systems, and fabric repairs.
  3. Performs inspections and recommends required maintenance, repairs, and alterations for building fabric and systems.
  4. Schedules preventive and planned maintenance and maintains service reports.
  5. Provides input into Operations and Maintenance Budget, 5 Year Plan, and Project Budget.
  6. Responds to emergencies such as fires, water leaks, equipment malfunctions; exchanges information with clients regarding building concerns/needs.
  7. Reviews new equipment, tools, and maintenance plans.
  8. Orders goods and supplies as needed.
Job Description

The successful candidate will be required to attain and maintain a valid and active RCMP Enhanced Security Clearance (ERSC). Please note, a condition for attaining an Enhanced Reliability Security (ERS) clearance includes the condition that applicants must have lived in Canada a minimum of five years to apply for ERS.

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
  • Must meet site and/or position-specific security clearance requirements imposed by the client for an assigned location and/or region.
  • Valid drivers’ license (as required).
Supervision/Direction Exercised
  • Position is not responsible to provide direct supervision.
  • Provide escort, support, monitoring, and review vendor-performed work.
Physical Assets/Information Management
  • May operate a company-issued vehicle in alignment with CBRE/AFSI and/or any other applicable policies and procedures.
  • Operate and maintain equipment and use of tools in alignment with CBRE/AFSI and/or any other applicable policies and procedures.
  • All applicable IT assets to be used in alignment with CBRE/AFSI and/or any other applicable policies and procedures.
Financial Resources
  • All financial decisions/purchases to be made in alignment with CBRE/AFSI and/or any other applicable policies and procedures.
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports/transactions related to authorized expenditures.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

This is a unionized role with the BCGEU governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. This is a 35-hour per week position with a pay rate of $35.69/hour. The role is eligible for participation in the Public Service Pension Plan and extended health and dental benefits after 6 months of service.
