• 5+ years of progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within consulting engineering.

Join to apply for the Building Mechanical Engineer role at Associated Engineering.

We are currently looking for a Building Mechanical Engineer to join our Calgary office.

The successful candidate will provide mechanical engineering/consulting services with a primary focus on building services design. You will design functional and sustainable facilities that are user and operator-friendly and enhance the overall community. Experience in sectors such as government, emergency services, water and wastewater facilities, education, sport, and recreation is preferred. You should also have experience in business development and proposal preparation.

Your responsibilities will include preparing reports, detailed drawings, cost estimates, specifications, and contract documents. You will participate in mentoring, scheduling, budgeting, tendering, contract administration, and inspections. Collaboration with your team and other disciplines is essential.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Mechanical Engineering within consulting engineering.
• Proficiency in building load analysis software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is an asset.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design and assessment.
• Experience with energy audits and modeling is an asset.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct site reviews and problem-solve effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
