We’re currently seeking a full-time Building Materials Manager to become part of our dynamic team at the Home Centre in Innisfail, Alberta. This role has opened up as a result of internal career progression, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to supporting growth and development within our organization.

Position: Building Materials Manager

Full-time: 40 hours per week. Eligible for benefits after 3 months. If you are relocating from another province, please ensure you have AB Health coverage to be covered by our plan provider.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends: Mornings, afternoons, and evenings.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations for the Innisfail Home Centre. You will lead, organize, and coordinate large volumes of lumber and hardware. You will also be responsible for all aspects of management and leadership, including recruitment, training & development, and performance management.

  • You will be responsible for the overall operations of the Lumber department.
  • You will ensure adherence to the departmental budget.
  • You will maintain excellent customer service by tracking, monitoring and following up with customer concerns.
  • You will assist in the maintaining of equipment for safety and efficient operation.
  • You will ensure that all records, markdowns, receiving claims, invoicing, special order slips, purchase orders are maintained.

Who You Are

  • You are a qualified candidate prepared to relocate to Innisfail, Alberta.
  • You have a Grade 12, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • You have experience in customer service.
  • You have excellent leadership skills.
  • You have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
