Job Title: Building Services Supervisor

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Building Services Supervisor to join the team located in Southampton.

Role Summary: To provide effective management of engineering staff, including processes and procedures to ensure client satisfaction and perception. Ensure site compliance with local legislations and provide planned and reactive maintenance to site assets.

Build close working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery above expectations. Provide support and assistance to the Contract Manager with all aspects of management processes and contract delivery. Manage key suppliers to ensure professional delivery and conduct works professionally. Provide innovation and foster organic growth of the service provision.

Ensure seamless compliance with all statutory regulations regarding site systems and equipment. CBRE LFM's provide local facilities management within Southampton, supporting an established and growing team. This role offers opportunities for further development.

Key Tasks:

  • Ensure the continuous, efficient, and effective operation, maintenance, and repair of the site's M&E Plant and Equipment and Fabric Services.
  • Manage the CAFM System to monitor staff performance and service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with and record-keeping for CBRE's ISO 9001/14001 Quality Management System, and manage health, safety, waste management, and environmental responsibilities.
  • Assist in reactive repairs to M&E systems and prioritize/reactive and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure PPM schedules are followed and industry best practices are adhered to.
  • Maintain excellent customer focus and relationships with key client contacts.
  • Supervise specialist service contractors, including permits, inductions, and minor works.
  • Formulate, assess, and validate risk assessments and method statements.
  • Encourage the M&E team to support other business functions.
  • Conduct monthly meetings with clients to discuss lifecycle and contract performance.
  • Monitor staff performance and ensure training needs are met.
  • Issue quotations and identify additional work opportunities for increased revenue.
  • Manage operational day-to-day requirements and out-of-hours queries.
  • Conduct quality audits and close out non-conformities following QHSE audits.
  • Implement operational processes for efficient contract operation.
  • Contribute to innovative tools and ideas for maintenance management.

Technical Experience Required:

  • Qualified Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled)
  • Excellent knowledge of BMS systems (preferably Trend systems)
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Understanding of building fabric
