The City of Prince Albert is hiring a Building Inspector II to conduct inspections, review permit applications, and enforce the NBC, NECB, and applicable regulations. Licenses at Class II or higher are preferred, with consideration given to those holding Class I or III licenses.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license; an A.Sc.T designation is considered an asset and may enhance eligibility for the role. The position emphasizes compliance and safety in municipal building projects.
Building Inspectors are responsible for building inspections, building permit applications, plan review and enforcement of the National Building Code (NBC), The National Energy Code (NECB), The Construction Codes Act and Building Bylaw and as defined by the Building Code Regulations respecting buildings that are within the scope of a Building Official Class II License.
Although the City is seeking to fill a Building Inspector II role, those licensed as a Class I, II or Class III Building Inspector by Saskatchewan Building and Technical Standards Branch are encouraged to apply.
