Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on-site.

You will diagnose complex control issues, work directly with customers, and provide actionable solutions to improve system performance. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of HVAC controls troubleshooting, technical training or degree, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Commercial Controls troubleshooting experience in HVAC
• Vocational School program or associate degree in a technical field, or two years’ related experience
• Demonstrated ability to install and/or service electronic control systems and HVAC equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning of building automation systems on site
• Provide high levels of customer satisfaction with on-site service and clear documentation
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with project and service teams to ensure quality work
• Communicate with customers, provide technical recommendations, and upsell add-on services where appropriate
• Prepare field sketches, as-built drawings, and project documentation as required
