Position Summary :

We are currently looking for a Building Automation System (BAS) Technician to join our growing team based out of Winnipeg, MB. As a BAS Technician you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of PC fundamentals, PC Networking / LAN, basic electronic theory and Building Electrical / Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction / Operation Department.
  • Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshootingandstartup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.
  • Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies.
  • Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.
  • Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and Building System Integration.

Qualifications :

  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Fluent in English – both written and oral.
  • The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.
  • Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office.
  • Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.
