Qualifications

We are recruiting for a Building Automation Solutions (BAS) Technical Support Specialist to collaborate with the Technical Support, Research & Development, and Sales teams. You will provide exceptional technical support to our customers via phone, email, and onsite visits, focusing on our controllers, solutions, and network management software.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Respond to technical questions regarding Distech Controls controllers, solutions, and network management software.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems online or via phone.
  • Update customer database (CRM) and log notes after interactions.
  • Maintain internal and external knowledge bases.
  • Ensure quality support to resolve customer issues.
  • Provide customer feedback to product development.
  • Recommend changes or improvements to products.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and products.
  • Improve support tools and processes.
  • Provide field support if needed.
  • Create knowledge articles for customer support.

Skills and Minimum Experience

  • University degree, College diploma (DEC), or 5-8 years of relevant experience in technical support, IT, HVAC, or controls.
  • At least 4 years of experience in HVAC systems, NiagaraAX / 4 Framework, electromechanical building controls, instrumentation, programming, and process control.

Additional requirements include experience with BAS installation, network programming, valid passport, problem diagnosis, customer service skills, organization, remote work capability, leadership, communication, professionalism, and ability to work under deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of control system protocols like BacNet, LonWorks, Modbus, EIB.
  • Knowledge of access control and lighting systems.
  • Programming and network configuration skills.
  • Experience as a trainer or in related domains.
  • IT knowledge including OS and networking.
