Job summary

TEEMA is seeking a skilled Builder/Carpenter to join its installation team in Calgary, Alberta. You will install premium outdoor structures on residential and commercial properties and contribute to projects from start to finish.

The role offers long-term employment, ongoing training, and potential to lead a crew. You will work Monday to Friday with overtime as required and interact with customers on-site.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Carpenter preferred; 3rd or 4th year apprentices considered.
  • Experience in carpentry, construction or installation.
  • Ability to read drawings, plans and measurements.
  • Strong practical knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with customers at homes or businesses.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding with safety equipment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Crew leadership or mentoring experience is an asset.
  • Independent contractors with complete setup may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Install custom patio enclosures, pergolas, louvered roofs, screen rooms and retractable screens.
  • Read and work from drawings, measurements and installation plans.
  • Measure, cut, assemble and install components accurately.
  • Load, transport and organize tools and materials.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and professional job site.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and commercial customers.
  • Identify and resolve installation challenges while maintaining quality standards.
  • Train and support less-experienced crew members when required.
  • Work with the Project Manager to keep projects on schedule.
  • Complete installations in accordance with safety, quality and customer-service expectations.

Overview:
A well-established outdoor-living company is looking for a skilled Builder/Carpenter to join its Edmonton installation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on construction, takes pride in quality craftsmanship and wants to see custom projects come together from beginning to end. You'll install premium outdoor structures at residential and commercial properties throughout Edmonton and the surrounding area. Projects include patio enclosures, pergolas, louvered roofs, screen rooms and retractable screen systems. This is a long-term position offering continuous training, additional earning potential and the opportunity to eventually lead your own installation crew.

What you will be doing:

What you must have:

  • Strong practical knowledge of hand and power tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Comfortable interacting with customers at their homes or businesses

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly

  • Comfortable working from ladders and scaffolding using appropriate safety equipment

  • Willingness to work outdoors in changing weather conditions

  • Crew leadership or mentoring experience is an asset

  • Qualified independent contractors with a complete setup -including a suitable vehicle, tools and insurance- may also be considered.

Salary/Rate Range: $25.00 -$35.00 per hour, based on experience
