Job summary

Head Medical in Brockville, Ontario seeks an Internist to join the Department of Internal Medicine in a full-time, permanent role. The position offers a daily rate of $1,800 (08:00–17:00) with fee-for-service and HOCC funding, in a high-acuity clinical setting with state-of-the-art facilities.

You will support the hospitalist team, manage 20–22 patients, and participate in ICU on-call coverage and stroke care, contributing to regional care transitions via the Lumeo system.

Qualifications

  • Must be eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons (CPSO).
  • Board-certified in Internal Medicine (FRCPC) or equivalent.
  • UK CCT or American Board Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex acute and chronic conditions.
  • Support the three-physician hospitalist team as Admissionist during core daytime hours (08:00–17:00).
  • Manage a clinical load of approximately 20–22 patients as part of the hospitalist team.
  • Participate in the internal medicine on-call rotation, supporting the ICU and stroke center.
  • Engage with regional partners via the Lumeo Regional Health Information System.
