Broadcast Technician
What you'll do :
  1. Provide personalized technical support to on-air, internal, and remote staff, including remote assistance
  2. Maintain, repair, and install broadcast studio systems, including automation playback and news gathering systems
  3. Maintain, repair, and install broadcast digital systems such as live streaming audio and video
  4. Maintain, repair, and install AM and FM transmission systems, including microwave and associated subsystems
  5. Create and maintain complete site documentation, including federally mandated transmitter logs
  6. Contribute to planning and execution of capital projects
  7. Coordinate and cooperate with other Rogers divisions
  8. Rotating after-hours on-call with occasional travel
What you'll bring :
  1. Demonstrated experience in technical support environment
  2. Demonstrated expertise with modern computer systems and networks, digital audio networks, broadcast automation, and transmission systems, with networking experience an asset
  3. Demonstrated experience troubleshooting electronic systems
  4. Proactive attitude, excited to complete projects and tasks with minimal supervision
  5. Calm demeanor under challenge with strong customer focus
  6. A valid provincial driver’s license
  7. Comfortable lifting and handling equipment and working on ladders under two meters
  8. Comfortable working flexible hours when required and being on a regular after-hours on-call rotation with other team members
