An established industry player in family support services is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team. This role involves building trusting relationships with families, advocating for their needs, and providing essential support through various means such as home visits and community resource access. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or diploma in a human service field, along with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. § Maintain a trusting, supportive relationship with families by providing information and support through regular home visits, meetings, phone calls, case conferences, etc.
§ Support families in the County of Newell.
§ Utilize a family-centered approach to assist families in developing personal and family goals.
§ At the request of an individual, advocate with them or on their behalf.
§ Assist individuals in accessing community resources.
§ Participate in association and program promotion activities.
§ Degree or Diploma and/or 3 years related experience in a Human Service Field. Diploma preferred.
§ Strong interpersonal communication, organization and administrative skills.
§ Experience in strength-based, family-centered family support practice.
§ Knowledgeable of community resources and services preferred.
§ An understanding of the diversity, customs and traditions of Indigenous people and diverse multi-cultural populations is considered an asset.
§ Experience working with computers, email and internet.
Must have daily access to a reliable, insured vehicle with current registration, insurance and have a valid driver's license. This position will be 40 hours per week. The work week is Monday to Friday, with day and evening work required. The starting date will be in May 2025. The wage for this position is $24.85-25.63 per hour, depending on education and experience.
