Job description

Reporting to the Foreman, a Bridge Worker is a skilled construction worker involved in the maintenance and construction of bridge structures and related infrastructure. The role involves a variety of activities using numerous tools, equipment, and materials.

How You’ll Add Value
  • Actively contribute to a safety culture, promoting a safe and productive work environment
  • Operate and perform minor maintenance on equipment such as jackhammers, drills, chainsaws, tampers, sandblasters, and concrete vibrators
  • Work on the structural steel and concrete components of bridges, assisting in activities like bridge washing, cleaning, painting, sandblasting, sealing, grouting, and placing structural concrete
  • Load and unload materials from trucks
  • Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in confined areas, on scaffolding, and under variable weather conditions
  • Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Experience

What You Bring

  • Valid Class 5 Operator’s License with a Driver’s Abstract showing no more than 6 demerits and no major infractions
  • At least 1 year of experience as a laborer
  • At least 1 year of experience in the Heavy Civil Construction industry
  • Willingness to travel and work out of town for short, fixed-term periods as needed

Note: Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing will be required.
