COWI is seeking a Heavy Civil / Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate closely with experts on impactful projects, focusing on bridge, tunnel, and marine work. We develop versatile engineers who can apply their skills across disciplines, fostering continuous learning and growth.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Perform structural analysis, design, and evaluation, preparing calculations, drawings, work plans, schedules, and budgets focused on heavy civil projects.
  • Create technical specifications, engineering reports, and other technical documentation under applicable design codes.
  • Liaise with clients, professionals, and third parties to ensure project success and facilitate knowledge exchange.
  • Collaborate with CAD and BIM modelers to realize clients' visions, including multidisciplinary projects.
  • Conduct inspections and site visits, gaining hands-on experience in diverse environments.

Additional requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or higher, with at least 6 years of related experience or equivalent.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in your home province or state, or ability to obtain registration within 12 months.
  • Familiarity with structural design codes such as CSA S6 and/or AASHTO, and exposure to analysis software like CSiBridge, MIDAS, SOFiSTiK.
  • Proficiency with engineering software such as Mathcad or Excel for calculations.
  • Class 5 driver’s license.
