We are looking for a Bridge Engineer to join our highly professional team of specialists that provides detailed engineering and project management services across a wide range of bridge design projects. As a valued member of our team, you will perform design, analysis, and management duties under the technical guidance of seasoned professionals. As your role expands, you may supervise or coordinate the work of other engineers and technicians on assigned projects, taking responsibility for project deliverables. Your key responsibilities will be to :

  • Perform engineering design and analysis for a wide variety of bridge projects
  • Perform inspections and assessments of bridges and other structures
  • Prepare work plans, schedules, and budgets for project planning and execution
  • Prepare design calculations and oversee drawing production in accordance with applicable design codes
  • Prepare standard construction documents, such as technical specifications and tender documents
  • Prepare engineering reports and other technical documents
  • Integrate sustainability principles in your work

On top of that, you will :

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred), with a minimum of 4 years of related experience in Bridge Design, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Be a registered Professional Engineer in your home province or state, or have the ability to obtain registration in British Columbia within 3 months of employment
  • Possess a Class 5 driver's license
  • Have the ability and willingness to go on inspection trips that may last a week or more
  • Fluency in French would be an asset
  • Preferably have familiarity with structural design codes like the CHBDC and proficiency in structural analysis software such as SoFistik, CSiBridge, SAP
