Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Ontario to join our team. You will apply structural analysis and detailed design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures, while collaborating with senior engineers to ensure quality, schedule, and budget compliance.

Preferred qualifications include a PE license and a Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 3+ years of bridge design experience. HDR provides an employee-owned culture and a comprehensive benefits package in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license required.
• At least 3 years of bridge design experience including design calculations and cost estimating.
• Experience with bridge design software and structural analysis tools.

Responsibilities

• Apply structural analysis and detailed bridge design.
• Prepare design documentation under supervision of senior engineers.
• Support quality control and independent reviews of designs.
• Collaborate with CAD/BIM staff for drawing production and information.
• Assist in project task management to meet schedule and budget.
• Participate in client meetings and project coordination.
