Job summary

Blyth Brewing & Distilling Inc. is hiring a brewer to handle brewhouse and cellar operations, following established recipes and quality controls. The role requires a self-starter mindset and strong teamwork to support production goals.

The successful candidate will maintain clean facilities, assist in SOP development, and uphold safety standards while meeting deadlines in a busy, open work environment.

Qualifications

• Brewing experience is an asset or required.

• Basic maintenance aptitude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the brewhouse and cellar following recipes and quality standards.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, hoses, and surfaces.
• Assist with blending and product mixing.
• Follow safety standards and wear proper PPE.
• Maintain clean, organized brewing area and SOPs.
• Complete organizational tasks and problem solving as needed.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Brewery Manager, the brewer position is responsible for carrying out all brewhouse and cellar operations. The ideal candidate will be a self starter with a team player mentality.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate the Brewhouse; following recipes and ensuring overall quality.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, hoses, etc.
• Blend, and mix products.
• Understanding and practicing all internal safety standards.
• Ongoing brewing area housekeeping.
• Assist with creation and maintenance of SOP’s.
• Perform organizational tasks and problem solving.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Brewing Experience, 1-2 years is an asset.
• Education in Brewing, Food Science, Chemistry or Microbiology is an asset.
• Ability to perform minor maintenance repairs.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, team work and proactivity.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize.

Working Conditions

• Position may require long periods of standing and walking.
• Required to work in a loud, open area.
• May be required to lift heavy objects and complete tasks that are physically demanding.
• Required to meet a number of deadlines which may cause stress.
