SALARY : Starting at $30.45 Hour

Rotating Shifts :

  • Morning : 6 : 00AM - 2 : 30PM
  • Afternoon : 1 : 30PM - 10 : 00PM
  • Evening : 9 : 00PM - 7 : 30AM (4 x 10 Shift, Monday-Thursday)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Operate all Brewhouse equipment with computer / PLC interface in accordance with Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
  • Demonstrated ability to learn BOTEC Brewing software and other software used in the Brewing Process
  • Good decision-making skills based on the feedback from information provided by the PLC interface and other related information
  • Material handling : transfer, milling and weighing of grain
  • Responsible for day-to-day process in brewing (Mashing, lautering, boiling, cooling)
  • Record keeping – detailed reports of Brewhouse parameters and maintaining accurate and complete HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) records
  • Daily housekeeping in Brewhouse and intensive weekly cleaning of Brewhouse equipment and vessels
  • Repair and overhaul duties throughout the year
  • Understand and use standard operation procedures (SOPs)
  • Quality sampling, testing and record keeping related to the brewing process as required

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education considered an asset
  • Formal brewing education preferred (diploma in brewing, Kwantlen University, Olds, Niagara, IBD, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in brewing operation considered an asset
  • Ability to engage in physical activities and manual labor, as required, including but not limited to : prolonged standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and bending
  • Ability to follow health and safety rules and procedures
  • Demonstrated collaborative teamwork
  • Willingness and ability to learn; flexible and adaptable to change
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, project and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Process Improvement and Process Control considered an asset.
