Job summary

Braven is seeking an enthusiastic breakfast/brunch cook to join our kitchen team in Edmonton. You will prepare and cook breakfast dishes, maintain high standards for plate presentation, and ensure a clean, safe workstation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in breakfast or brunch service.
• Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety standards.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow recipes and direction while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.
• Reliable, punctual, and highly organized.
• Must be available to work early morning shifts on weekdays and weekends.
• Flexible availability, including holidays as required.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Execute delegated preparation and service tasks as directed by the Sous Chefs and Chef.
• Prepare and cook breakfast dishes with consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
• Ensure all plates meet O&B quality standards, presentation, and timing standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation at all times.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment during peak breakfast service.
• Uphold proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Demonstrate a commitment to cooking with high-quality ingredients.
• Contribute creative ideas to features and menu improvements.
• Continuously develop culinary skills and expand product knowledge.
• Support a collaborative team environment built on professionalism and respect.
• Share an absolute dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience.
