Job description

RED Mountain Resort is on the lookout for a dynamic and strategic Brand & Web Manager to lead the creative direction of the resort and its ancillary brands on all things design, web, and digital marketing. This is more than a design role—it’s a position that leads and shapes RED’s visual identity and digital presence. You'll drive brand consistency, guide cross-medium campaigns, and influence the long-term creative strategy in collaboration with the Sales & Marketing Director (SMD).

As the head of RED’s brand and digital creative, you’ll lead initiatives across design, web, and digital marketing platforms while managing a Graphic Designer and collaborating with the Sales and Marketing Manager (SMM). You’ll play a key leadership role in aligning the creative execution with RED’s business and sales goals, empowering your team, and refining brand direction through insight, analytics, and innovation.

The wage rate for this position is $65,000-$80,000.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Brand & Design Leadership

  • Serve as the guardian of RED’s brand, ensuring consistent visual and messaging standards across all platforms and resort departments.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and leadership to the Graphic Designer to ensure all materials align with RED’s brand vision.
  • Execute on multi-channel marketing campaigns with guidance and direction from the Sales and Marketing Director, translating ideas and plans into hands-on web, email, social, print, and digital activations.
  • Oversee logos, merchandise graphics, marketing collateral, signage, and more for all ancillary departments such as: Snow School, RED Mountain Resort Lodging, Food & Beverage Outlets, RED Sports Rentals, Events, and Piste Off Supply Co. Retail.
Website & Digital Management

  • Oversee all RED Mountain Resort web properties (WordPress), including redresort.com, redreservations.com, nowherespecialhostel.com, canadianfreeskiing.com, and individual campaign landing pages. You will lead and own all major design updates and UX needs; while all basic webpage details such as copy changes, pricing, hours, contact info, event details, etc. will be overseen by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
  • Create impactful designs/layouts for custom landing pages and digital ads (Meta and Google) for specific campaigns, promotions, products, and more.
  • Keep a pulse on website hosting (WPEngine), WordPress plugins, and performance updates to ensure all sites are running smoothly and error-free.
  • Manage and keep up-to-date RED’s e-commerce storefront for all passes and tickets through the Accesso Paradox platform.
  • Work with the SMD and SMM to manage our contract backend developers for necessary website enhancements, snow reporting platform API needs, email database/product revenue API integration, and other backend updates as needed.
Email Marketing & Automation

  • Work with the SMD and SMM to build, manage, and optimize email campaigns, newsletters, and automated workflows within the Acoustic email platform.
  • Work directly with RED’s Acoustic Platform Client Manager for ongoing areas of improvement, troubleshooting, and reporting.
  • Leverage email analytics to refine and improve engagement and conversion rates.
Analytics & Optimization

  • Oversee end-of-year reporting on web traffic, email campaign performance, e-commerce conversions, and campaign results (carried out by the Marketing Coordinator).
  • Use analytics-driven design principles to continuously refine and enhance RED’s digital presence.
  • Ensure a strong user experience (UX) across all digital platforms through data-backed design choices.
Collaboration & Project Management

  • Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing on campaign ideation, execution, and brand strategy.
  • Manage and maintain RED’s Wrike Project Management platform, ensuring tasks, deadlines, and priorities stay on track.
  • Coordinate with ancillary department heads to maintain proper brand presence across digital and print platforms through the redresort.com/projects/ project submission portal (which feeds directly into our Wrike platform).
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education

  • University degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or a related discipline.
Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience in a Manager-level or similar Brand, Web, or Digital Marketing role.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress, website management, and hosting.
  • 3+ years of basic HTML/CSS experience, with a solid understanding of front-end development principles.
  • 3+ years managing email marketing campaigns, database queries, and automation (Acoustic platform preferred).
  • Very strong hands-on professional experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is expected, with a strong and diverse portfolio showcasing web, branding, and marketing design projects. Showcasing campaign-driven projects with data-driven results are a major bonus.

  • Excellent Communication – Capable of providing clear direction, presenting design rationale, and collaborating across teams.
  • Project Management – Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines, lead projects, and be a self-starter with minimal direction when needed.
  • Detail-Oriented – Ensures the utmost consistency in branding, design, and messaging across all touchpoints – from adhering to our style guide brand standards to having excellent grammar and spelling during layouts and project reviews.
  • Industry Knowledge – Familiarity with snowboarding/skiing culture and action sports branding is a major plus.
  • Good sense of humour combined with similar writing skills a major plus to brainstorm/craft headlines within designs/layouts that align with our unique tongue-in-cheek brand voice.
  • Additional Bonus Skills – Video production/editing, illustration, or animation experience is a major plus.
  • Intermediate ski or snowboard ability would be an asset.
