Job summary

Groupe Marcelle in Montreal, QC, Canada seeks a Brand Manager for development and portfolio strategy. The role is permanent full-time, reporting to the Marketing Director. Hybrid work is three days in the office, with a focus on driving brand innovation, launches, and profitability across the Marcelle portfolio.

The candidate will analyze category performance, manage product life cycles, and collaborate with internal and external partners to grow the brand and portfolio profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications and/or marketing or related field.
• Strong ability to analyze and synthesize data to guide brand innovation and launches.
• Experience with market data analysis (e.g., Nielsen) and sales analysis tools.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Groupe Marcelle is currently looking for a Brand Manager, development and portfolio strategy - Marcelle for a permanent full-time position.

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Marcelle, the Brand Manager will be responsible for actively participating in product development and driving the brand's innovation and launch strategy. The candidate will draw on her/his analysis of category performance, products and profitability to effectively manage the portfolio and product life cycles. The person will also manage a variety of relationships with internal and external collaborators

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

• Develop sound business plans that will deliver incremental brand profits
• Have an in-depth understanding of the portfolio and make recommendations to improve the offering
• Closely monitor the competition, analyze the market, and track trends to identify opportunities and ensure continued brand growth
• Work with innovation and R&D teams on new product and limited-edition launches, considering market trends and consumer needs while building a balanced and profitable brand portfolio
• Work closely with sales, purchasing, logistics, marketing, and finance departments to develop business cases on the new launches.
• Be able to present recommendations to Senior Management
• Work with the Senior Brand Manager to recommend pricing, margins, distribution strategy, sales forecasts, discontinuations, exit strategy, etc.
• In collaboration with cross-functional teams, inform 360 plans to support launches and promotional executions, including displays, POP, media plan, PR, social media content, website, newsletters, etc.
• Collaborate in promotions and campaigns creation that are relevant to the brand and will help strengthen the core business.
• Bachelor's degree in communications and/or marketing or related field
• At least five (5) years experience in marketing and communications, ideally in cosmetics or other related fields in the consumer goods industry
• Strong ability to analyze and synthesize data to provide clear direction for brand innovation and launches.
• Experience in market data analysis (e.g., Nielsen) and sales analysis tools
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to interpret financial data (P&L, pricing analysis, etc.)
• Knowledge of the Canadian cosmetics market, drugstore retailers and/or global trends (Strong asset).
