We’re seeking an experienced Director to lead and oversee our team of Brand Managers, ensuring excellence across client strategy, team performance, and operational execution.

In this role, you will act as a critical partner to the CEO—serving as the next layer of leadership responsible for accountability across projects, people, and client satisfaction. You’ll combine senior-level client strategy, hands‑on Amazon expertise, and strong leadership to scale both our team and our client results.

About us

Beacon Commerce is an e-commerce agency specializing in product strategy, pay‑per‑click (PPC) advertising, account management and other support services for the Amazon marketplace and other digital sales channels. We help businesses of all sizes, including many women‑founded enterprises, grow profitably to reach their full potential on Amazon. Our team of 15 people works collaboratively to help our clients scale their products, reach new customers and succeed on Amazon globally.

Our process is designed on three pillars to help our clients succeed:

  • Leveraging data and analytics to drive direction
  • Measuring results to adjust as necessary with open and honest communication

What you will be doing
Team Leadership & Accountability (40%)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Brand Managers and digital specialists
  • Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability across all client portfolios
  • Provide hands‑on support to team members to troubleshoot challenges and drive results
  • Build a high‑performance culture focused on ownership, growth, and collaboration
  • Oversee resource planning and workload distribution across accounts
  • Oversee all client accounts to ensure consistent delivery of high‑quality strategy and results
  • Act as an escalation point for key clients and complex challenges
  • Ensure Brand Managers are delivering proactive, insight‑driven recommendations
  • Maintain accountability for client satisfaction, retention, and overall portfolio performance
  • Contribute to and refine high‑level client growth strategies
Operational Leadership & Execution (20%)
  • Develop and optimize internal processes to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Ensure seamless execution across Amazon strategy, advertising, and operations
  • Monitor performance metrics across accounts and implement improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with the CEO on business priorities, growth strategy, and team structure
Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration (10%)
  • Act as the primary liaison with international operations teams
  • Ensure clear, respectful, and effective communication across global stakeholders
  • Demonstrate strong cultural awareness and professional etiquette in all interactions
  • Align global execution with client strategy and agency standards
Qualifications and “nice to haves”
Leadership & Client Management
  • 5–8+ years of experience in client services, account management, or agency leadership roles
  • 2+ years of experience managing and leading high‑performing teams
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple client accounts and drive measurable results
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience working with North American clients in a professional services environment
Amazon & Technical Expertise
  • Deep expertise in Amazon Seller Central and marketplace operations
  • Strong background in Amazon advertising, content strategy, and account growth
  • Previous experience in Amazon agency environment is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data and guide strategy
  • Familiarity with tools such as Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar
  • Experience working with international teams or stakeholders
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and strong cross‑cultural communication skills
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and align teams across different regions and workflows
Additional Qualifications
  • Background in e‑commerce, digital marketing, or business strategy
  • Post‑secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Highly organized, proactive, and solutions‑oriented
  • Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, growing environment

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a similar field; advanced degree is a plus
  • Experience within e‑commerce, especially with Amazon and other digital sales channels, is strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing in‑office collaboration and remote productivity
