Responsibilities

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees warehouse staff and product movement, ensuring process efficiency and safety, while supporting excellent customer service. Key duties include:

Shipping

• Set delivery routes based on reports.
• Coordinate trucking and special deliveries.
• Perform warehouse duties such as order picking, staging, loading, and order accuracy checks.

Receiving

• Plan labor, space, and storage for incoming goods.
• Expedite inbound shipments and update relevant staff.
• Ensure incoming goods are accurate and of good quality.
• Move products to appropriate locations.

Customer Service

• Greet and assist customers entering the warehouse.

Supervision

• Onboard and train new employees, monitor performance.
• Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse staff.

Inventory Control

• Perform replenishment duties to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Review reports like cycle counts and surplus inventory.

Safety

• Conduct safety audits and inspections.
• Assist with accident investigations and enforce safety standards.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and safe to operate.
• Adhere to PPE and safety procedures, report hazards.

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Skills

• Post-secondary education required.
• Leadership experience in a distribution warehouse.
• Proficiency with AS400, Microsoft Office, and inventory systems.
• Forklift certification and operation skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
