Job Overview

The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Vernon, BC is looking for a Branch Operations Supervisor to join their team! The Branch Operations Supervisor provides supervision over the Branch Operations, including an increased level of responsibility in oversight for internal controls with the Branch Management team. The role involves high-level involvement in audit and implementation of regulatory policy and procedural rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for oversight and processing of all branch cash transactions, including cheques, bank wires and physical securities.
  • Ensure Branch and Cage reports are prepared, printed, reviewed and presented to Branch Management for review; may review or sign off on reports prior to final sign off.
  • Ensure the Branch Operations team executes filing for all branch operations related reports and documents, overseeing branch retention of documents in accordance with internal controls.
  • Stand in as a branch designate as needed, sign guarantee documents and sign cheques.
  • Oversee account opening approvals, reviewing documentation, spotting errors, and coaching branch staff on proper procedures.
  • Assist with participation in Branch Support Staff meetings to review and educate on Branch Operations updates, common errors and best practices.

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 - $60,000. This position may be eligible to receive a discretionary/variable incentive payment. Compensation will be determined by factors including candidate experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.
