Job summary

RBC in Dieppe, Canada is seeking a Branch Manager Advisor to split time between providing expert financial advice and leading a branch. You will work under the Regional Vice President to balance client service with leadership responsibilities.

You will coach a team, deliver tailored solutions, and promote digital tools while maintaining a strong local presence in Dieppe and surrounding communities. This role requires mutual funds accreditation, Branch Compliance Officer coursework, and mobility

Qualifications

  • Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course) required.
  • Entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset desired.
  • Mobility to Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to deliver an exceptional client experience by advising clients and leveraging RBC capabilities.
  • Champion digital enablement by educating clients to self-serve while leading with advice and using digital channels when possible.
  • Directly lead the team with frontline client engagement, providing complex advisory solutions and modeling collaborative behaviours.
  • Stay locally connected and active in the community, motivating the team and RBC Partners to engage with clients and Centers of Influence.
  • Strategically manage capacity across the Advisor team, using skills, mobility and traffic forecasts to drive client contacts.
  • Model leadership, coach and promote inclusive practices; support employee progression and performance.

Job description

What is the opportunity?

As a Branch Manager Advisor reporting to the Regional Vice President, you fulfill a critical hybrid role in the branch with 40-50% of your time spent providing advice to clients as a Financial Advisor and 50-75% in a Branch leadership role

What will you do?
  • Manage a team that delivers an exceptional client experience by leading with advice and leveraging the full capability of RBC to provide appropriate solutions to meet our client needs and financial circumstances.
  • Champion digital enablement by proactively educating our clients to self-serve, while leading with advice, serving through digital where possible and encouraging our clients to interact with us in their channel of choice
  • Lead your team from the front, actively engaging clients inside and outside the branch, providing complex advice solutions and modelling key behaviors with an emphasis on teamwork to meet our client’s needs.
  • Remain locally connected and active in your community, effectively motivating your team and RBC Partners to proactively connect with clients and Centers of Influence
  • Strategically manage capacity across the Advisor team leveraging Advisor skills and capabilities, mobility and understanding of weekly/monthly traffic flow to drive client contacts.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
  • Valid Mutual Funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course)
  • Completed Branch Compliance Officer course offered by the Canadian Securities Institute, or ability to write an exam within 4 months of start date.
  • Entrepreneurial business acquisition mindset
  • Mobility to Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe
Nice-to-have
  • Experience in both business and personal banking.
  • Minimum 3 years in a people management role
  • Canada (excluding Quebec): Completed Designated Financial Services Advisor (DFSA) designation, offered through the Canadian Securities Institute (i.e. Personal Financial Service Advice and Financial Planning I)
  • Bilingual (French, English) considered an asset.
