About the role

As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for the overall success of the branch by working to meet financial objectives related to the profitable growth and retention of the branch’s personal and business portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Leading and developing a team to build and strengthen customer relationships through financial advice.
  2. Assisting in building relationships via coaching, training, and observation.
  3. Coaching your team to success both individually and for the branch.
  4. Managing and minimizing the Bank’s exposure to risk.
  5. Overseeing the implementation of policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures.
Skills and qualifications needed:
  1. Experience managing people and engaging teams.
  2. Experience in personal and small business banking.
  3. Solid sales management skills and ability to market Scotiabank.
  4. Strong relationship-building skills focused on providing excellent client experiences.
  5. License to sell mutual funds.
  6. Completion of the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning or an equivalent recognized by the bank.
  7. Educational requirements for the Branch Compliance Officer role.
