About the role

As a Branch Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for the overall success of the branch by working to meet financial objectives related to the profitable growth and retention of the branch’s personal and business portfolios.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Leading and developing a team to build and strengthen customer relationships through financial advice.
  2. Assisting in building and strengthening customer relationships via coaching, training, and observation.
  3. Coaching your team for success on an individual and branch level.
  4. Managing and minimizing the Bank’s exposure to risk.
  5. Overseeing the implementation of policies, practices, initiatives, and procedures.
Skills and qualifications needed:
  1. Experience managing people and engaging teams.
  2. Experience in personal and small business banking.
  3. Solid sales management skills and ability to market Scotiabank.
  4. Ability to build strong client relationships focused on providing excellent service and growth.
  5. License to sell mutual funds.
  6. Completed the CIFP Diploma in Financial Planning or an equivalent recognized by the bank.
  7. Educational requirements for the Branch Compliance Officer role.
