Position Overview:

Barnhart is seeking a Branch Manager for our Calgary, Alberta branch. The Branch Manager acts as a local leader, akin to a business owner, responsible for sales, operations, and financial performance. Leadership and team development, safety, and quality are critical to success. Collaboration with other branches and regional teams is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the branch as a business, aligning with Barnhart's mission and values. Build teams in sales, operations, project management, dispatch, maintenance, and facilities.
  • Motivate the team to achieve financial, safety, customer satisfaction, and operational goals.
  • Foster a culture of significance, belonging, trust, progress, and recognition through training and development.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, including relationship management and problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Market services actively and seek growth opportunities, maintaining profitable customer relationships.
  • Identify and communicate potential growth opportunities to the executive team.
  • Lead the annual business planning process and monitor performance against strategic goals.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Leadership, supervisory, and mentoring experience with a safety-conscious approach.
  • Experience in a service-driven business, understanding customer and market needs profitably.
  • Ability to manage complex operations through multitasking.
  • Mechanical inclination with success in rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance, or transportation.
  • Problem-solving skills, translating customer needs into service solutions.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and adaptability to new technologies.
  • Degree or technical diploma, or equivalent industry experience.
