The Brampton Community Worker will build relationships with youth by pioneering new, grassroots programming in the Brampton area as part of our commitment to launch neighbourhood-based outreach programs in under-served communities. This programming would creatively respond to needs and opportunities in Brampton and could include sports, arts, after school homework help, etc!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build mentoring relationships with local youth
  • Pioneer and lead new ministry initiatives for children, youth, and young adults
  • Assist with recruitment and management of volunteers
  • Oversee ongoing administrative tasks such as attendance, registration forms, lesson preparation, program budgeting, and ministry updates
Requirements:
  • Pursue a vital spiritual life and growing relationship with God as a devoted follower of Jesus Christ
  • Be a faithful and contributing member of a local church
  • A deep commitment to a holistic approach to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and God’s Kingdom
  • Able to engage youth relationally
  • Experience working with youth and/or children

Position Information:

We have opportunities for a part-time (beginning at 17 hours/week) or full-time position with this role. The salary of this staff position is determined on a scale based on education and experience and is 100% funded on a missionary basis – requiring the successful applicant to fundraise and gather a personal support team.
