South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) is seeking a Brain Injury Team Lead to oversee ABI/Stroke programs, supervise staff, and coordinate service delivery with partners. The role includes budgeting, reporting, and enhancing client outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Director to plan and implement strategies, ensuring effective programs and supportive client services.

Qualifications

• A degree in a related field (e.g., Social Work, Health Services) or at least 3 years of direct experience in brain injury or stroke programs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Recent acceptable criminal record check.
• Strong knowledge of income assistance and tenancy regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of ABI/Stroke programs, ensuring services align with contract provisions and best practices.
• Direct, motivate, and supervise the program team, conducting annual employee appraisals and promoting development.
• Support clients to ensure they receive lifestyle support, financial assistance, and service navigation.
• Provide direct client case management and support services as a team member.
• Manage program budgets and monitor financial needs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Collaborate with health care providers, housing communities, and other professionals to optimize service offerings.
• Monitor program outcomes, track case notes, and provide reports to the Executive Director as required.
• Collaborate with the management team on policy changes, team training, and operational planning.

The South Okanagan Similkameen Brain Injury Society (SOSBIS) has provided essential support to individuals with acquired brain injuries and their families since 1991. They aim to help survivors build independence while navigating the challenges of brain injury.

Position Overview:

The Brain Injury Team Lead will oversee and manage all aspects of the Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and Stroke programs. This role involves staff supervision, program management, and collaboration with community partners to ensure efficient service delivery. The Manager will work closely with the Executive Director to evaluate, plan, and implement strategies that enhance service effectiveness and support client needs.

• Program Management: Oversee the daily operations of ABI/Stroke programs, ensuring services align with contract provisions and best practices.

• Partnership Coordination: Work with health care providers, housing communities, and other professionals to optimize service offerings.
• Reporting & Evaluation: Monitor program outcomes, track case notes, and provide reports to the Executive Director as required.
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the management team on policy changes, team training, and operational planning.

Qualifications:

• Strong working knowledge of relevant acts and regulations, including income assistance and residential tenancy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and social media platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in writing client case notes.
