Box Truck Driver - Commercial License - Local Home Daily

Full time

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Work environment: In-person

Expected pay amount: 24.00 - 26.00 CAD Per Hour

Schedule: 4 days per week (42-44 hrs total/week): three 12 hour shifts (start as early as 3AM) and one 6 - 8 hour shift

Contract

We are looking for AZ, BZ, CZ or DZ box truck drivers with at least 3 years experience to run local routes in the Greater Toronto Area, delivering dry and refrigerated goods.


Box Truck Driver Requirements:
  • 3+ Years Possessing a Valid Canadian AZ, BZ, CZ or DZ Commercial Driver’s License in Ontario
  • 3+ Years Recent (Within the Last 5 Years) Delivery Driving Experience in Box Trucks at Least 26’ in Length. Some of This Experience Must Include:
    • Driving in the Greater Toronto Area Within the Past Year and Within Ontario in the Last Five Years
    • Middle Mile Deliveries (e.g. Warehouse to Fulfillment Center) in the Greater Toronto Area
  • 25+ Years of Age
  • Clean Background Check, Drug Screen and Motor Vehicle Record
  • Willing/Able to Work Flexible Hours on Both Weekdays and Weekends

Working Conditions:
Due to the nature of the position with daily inspections of the vehicle, this job requires physical work including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, and various tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing a ladder.

As a Box Truck Driver, You Will:
  • Safely operate 26ft (or longer) box trucks along local GTA routes for on-time deliveries to retail customers.
  • Support customers/teams by acting as an ambassador for the company.
  • Take care of your assigned vehicle by keeping it clean, performing daily safety checks (e.g., monitoring fluid levels, checking tire pressure and hose connections), and notifying the team for repair as needed.
  • Complete route testing by collaborating with software/hardware engineers and operations team members regarding collection/drop-off processes and procedures.
  • Provide vehicle performance feedback to the operations and engineering teams.
