Job summary

Wentworth Hospitality Group is seeking an Ambassador to warmly welcome guests and ensure their arrival and departure experiences are seamless. Reporting to the Director, Guest Operations, you will act as a front-of-house presence, delivering proactive service and local knowledge to create memorable stays.

This role requires 1–2 years in guest-facing hospitality, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or with the team in a fast-paced boutique hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in business, hospitality, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Experience: 1–2 years in a guest-facing role; luxury or boutique hotel experience is an asset but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests, colleagues and leadership.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Vancouver attractions, culture and experiences is an asset.
• Highly organized, proactive and passionate about hospitality.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays; valid driver’s license and abstract.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 23 kg.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact greeting all guests offering a warm, friendly and immediate welcome.
• Maintain presence in the lobby as an ambassador, offering exceptional service to all guests.
• Provide directional assistance to guests offering local knowledge with confidence.
• Ensure timely delivery of guests’ luggage and personal items upon arrival and departure.
• Handle guests’ luggage with care upon storage.
• Coordinate and manage guest experiences such as guest cycling experiences, bike servicing, dry cleaning, etc.
• Support the Front Office team during peak periods and assist with various operational needs.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with guests and employees.
• Ensure guests’ safety is a priority by staying knowledgeable on hotel safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Maintain hotel knowledge, such as hours of operations, amenities offered, room rates.
• Other duties as required.
