Job Overview

The Boring Mill Operator will produce precision components from 3D computer models and generate CNC programs using Powermill. The role involves setting up and operating boring mills, inspecting components, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create, load, and examine CNC programs
2. Set up tools, indicate, and load materials onto the Boring Mill
3. Perform machining of components
4. Conduct inspections to authorized standards
5. Identify and report errors, suggest improvements
6. Collaborate with managers and supervisors to adhere to company policies
7. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the CNC Leader

Qualifications

1. Minimum of 5 years of fully skilled experience
2. Ability to program using Powermill
3. Experience working with fine tolerances and various materials
4. Proficiency with measuring equipment
5. Ability to work independently
6. Flexible, courteous, positive attitude
7. Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism
8. Own tools for machining duties
9. Willingness to work various shifts
