Job summary

Western Energy Services is seeking a BOP Service Technician to perform shop and field equipment maintenance and servicing. The role requires handling field rig ups/tears downs, BOP repairs, and Aero equipment service, with duties including post-job servicing and inter-shop support.

Candidates should have strong communication, initiative, and safety mindset, plus a valid driver’s license. Forklift and crane qualifications are assets; related experience across drilling or completion environments

Qualifications

• Experience with BOP service and repairs preferred.
• Experience with Aero equipment maintenance is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Safety oriented mindset.
• Strong troubleshooting and research skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Fork Lift Training considered an asset.
• Over Crane Certification considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Complete field rig ups and tear downs of BOP’s and frac heads.
• BOP servicing, troubleshooting and repairs.
• Service and provide maintenance to all Aero equipment, including shop and field repairs.
• Complete post-job equipment servicing work orders and submit to billing clerk in a timely fashion.
• Provide or arrange technical support for oil and service company personnel as well as other Aero rental shops.
• Complete daily crane and forklift inspections.
• Assist management in day to day operations in all aspects for Aero requirements, including other items not mentioned above.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

The BOP Service Technician is responsible for shop and field equipment maintenance and servicing. This position will also be required to complete all other operational tasks as directed by the Base Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete field rig ups and tear downs of BOP’s and frac heads
• BOP servicing, troubleshooting and repairs
• Service and provide maintenance to all Aero equipment, including shop and field repairs
• Complete post-job equipment servicing work orders and submit to billing clerk in a timely fashion
• Provide or arrange technical support for oil and service company personnel as well as other Aero rental shops
• Complete daily crane and forklift inspections
• Assist management in day to day operations in all aspects for Aero requirements, including other items not mentioned above
• Other duties as assigned
