Encore Drywall Material Supplies, based in Concord, Ontario, Canada, has decades of experience in the gypsum, insulation, and steel distribution business across Canada. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Boom Truck Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering building materials to our customers, ensuring timely, safe, and professional transportation and delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong safety commitment, and the ability to build positive client relationships.

Job Description

The driver will work with other team members to provide outstanding service by ensuring accurate, complete, and punctual deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards, including MTO regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate boom trucks to deliver drywall and other building materials.
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.
• Complete deliveries on time, meeting customer expectations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members, resolving issues as needed.
• Document deliveries and receipts accurately, reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain truck maintenance records and comply with safety and security documentation requirements.
• Operate equipment safely, being aware of surroundings.
• Follow company policies, MTO, and other regulations.
• Availability to work weekends when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Valid DZ license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy equipment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong safety focus and adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of local delivery routes is a plus.
