Job description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Islington Nurseries Ltd. This role is crucial for transporting materials and equipment to various job sites across the Greater Toronto Area.Responsibilities

• Experience driving a flatbed with Moffat
• Experience tarping, strapping and unstrapping loads
• Drive and operate a mobile crane (boom) truck for material deliveries
• Operate boom using remote control to unload materials
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections
• Safely operate trucks to transport materials to job sites in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Safely load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.

Requirements

• Abstract and CVOR must be submitted with resume
• 3 years of experience as a Boom Truck Operator
• Mobile Crane Boom Truck Operator certificate
• 3 years of experience driving a flatbed with Moffat
• Must be able to drive manual and automatic
• Valid DZ license required, AZ license is an asset
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks (lifting, bending, pulling, pushing)
