Job description

ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH ACCURACY AND GREAT WITH PEOPLE?

Richardson Miller LLP is looking for a dual-threat Bookkeeper / Receptionist who can juggle numbers and nurture client connections—all while never letting a typo slip by.

In this role, you’ll spend about 70% of your time focused on bookkeeping tasks and 30% helping manage our reception and admin needs. During tax season (March & April), you’ll help keep reception running smoothly. The rest of the year? You’ll dive deep into client books and admin process optimization.

What You’ll Do:
- Finalize year-end files and e-file tax returns with care
- Keep books squeaky clean in QuickBooks and CaseWare
- Greet clients, manage calls, organize files, and support uploads
- Apply structured naming conventions and internal admin standards
- Learn quickly and check your work twice (or even three times)

What You Bring:
- 1–2 years of bookkeeping or admin experience, ideally in an accounting firm
- A detail-driven mindset and strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (TaxCycle is a bonus)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Why You’ll Love It Here:
- Competitive hourly pay ($21–($33.50/hr for the "perfect" candidate) based on experience)
- Health benefits and a health spending account
- Bank hours in spring, enjoy 4-day weeks in July and August
- Professional environment that values accuracy and initiative
- Professional development reimbursement – upon approval
- 3 weeks of holidays
