Position Title: Bookkeeper & Office Administrator

Reports To: CPE Systems President
Purpose of Role: To perform financial functions related to the collection, recording and accuracy of CPE Systems financial operations as well as office administration.
Key Bookkeeping Accountabilities:
- Accounts payable:
- Review, match, and record invoices for all vendors accounts
- Act as liaison for vendors to reconcile any billing discrepancies
- Process payments to venders via ACH, CAFT, credit card, cheque and wire transfers
- Accounts receivable:
- Update the production coordinator when customer payments are received
- Review customer accounts to ensure that payments are received on time
- Reach out to customers if a payment needs to be made or is overdue
- Process customer credit applications
- Monitor cash and credit card balances daily and amend any issues that may arise
- Ensure that PDF filing systems of invoices and statements remain up to date, accurate, and organized
- Month-end reconciliation of the bank and credit card statements
- Conduct profitability analysis on goods that are sold and providing insight
- GST filing on a monthly basis
- PST and EHT filing and payment on a quarterly basis
- WCB filing and payment on an annual basis
- Special accounting tasks that President/external accountant may request
Key Office Admin Accountabilities:
- Answer telephone calls, mail and email, route messages
- Solve and keep track of issues with facilities, office equipment and assets
- Order and maintain office supplies
- Set up and maintain paper and electronic filing systems
- Update office procedures and improvements
- Update administrative policies and procedures manuals
Results/Deliverables:
- Ensures that the financial records of CPE Systems adhere to GAAP and are catalogued in a clear, concise and accurate manner
- Ability to speak to the financial records of CPE Systems when an inquiry is made
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality when dealing with privileged information
- Identifying ways in which expenditures can be reduced or eliminated
Working Relationships: Predominantly works independently
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Proven ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Education/Professional Designations:
- Certification in Bookkeeping
Technical Skills/Knowledge:
- Proficient with QuickBooks, Shopify Plus, Word, Outlook and ADP or Ceridian
- Strong Excel skills
- Knowledge and ability to adhere to GAAP

Compensation:
- $60,000 to $65,000 base pay
