A growing multi-company business group in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Bookkeeper / Company Controller. This part-time role (16 – 24 hours/week) involves managing accounting records, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with taxes. Position Overview

We are looking for an individual who may have worked in a similar position and beexperienced, results-driven and confident to direct, manage and improve our organizations financial operations and performance.

Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency will aid our companies in maintaining positive Revenue and Financial growth - formulating sound financial strategies - implementing proper internal controls - achieving organizational targets - developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.

Financial Controller Role

Will include...

·Managing accounting records, functions, operationsand administrative services / financial analysis, reporting and budgeting / internal controls / intercompany transactions.

·Compliance and reporting of Fed and Provincial Taxes / WorkSafe / Licensing / Permits.

·Managing theprep and oversight of financialdata entry / cash flow / tracking of project costing / purchase orders / change orders / invoicing / a/r and a/p for clients and intercompany transactions.

·Monitoring the Time Management System / payroll processing.

Required Certification, Experience, Skills and Qualities

·At least 5 years working in the accounting department of a small to medium sized business – preferably in a construction-based company with a driven entrepreneurial environment.

·Possess designations in Accounting / Bookkeeping or Relevant Accreditations.

·Full proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office and Dropbox.

·Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and consistently achieve required deadlines.
