Position Summary :

The Azrieli Foundation is seeking a fully bilingual Bookkeeper fluent in both English and Hebrew. Proficiency in reading, writing, and interpreting financial documents in both languages is essential. This role involves reviewing and translating financial documentation, verifying alignment with budgets and contracts, reconciling transactions, and identifying discrepancies. The Bookkeeper will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the Foundation's international projects. The role reports to the Chief Legal Officer and works closely with the Foreign Activities Managers.

This is a full-time, temporary contract role (6 months), with potential extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Responsibilities

  1. Process, interpret, and translate financial documents in Hebrew and English.
  2. Review spreadsheets and documentation to:

Confirm consistency with general ledger entries

  • Ensure expenditures align with budgets
  • Identify and flag inconsistencies or irregularities
  • Reconcile financial reports with records, cross-referencing invoices and receipts
  • Escalate concerns to managers
  • Maintain organized, auditable records of reconciliations and communications
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings
  • Collaborate with managers to uphold standards and ensure accuracy
  • Required Qualifications & Experience

    • 2+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or reconciliation roles
    • Fluency in Hebrew and English, with the ability to translate financial documents accurately
    • Ability to review financial documents and identify discrepancies
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
