About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and bilingual Bookkeeper (Accounting Technician) to support daily accounting operations at the Laval head office. You will work closely with the Controller and play an important role in maintaining the company’s financial health.

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable (A/P): verify, code, and post supplier invoices
- Manage accounts receivable (A/R): prepare customer invoices, record payments, and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Reconcile credit card transactions and statements
- Prepare and update daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports
- Process purchase orders (POs) and maintain PO tracking
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare general ledger entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Help with balance sheet account reconciliations
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing of financial documents
- Assist the Controller with ad hoc reporting and administrative tasks
- Use Sage 50 and Excel for daily bookkeeping activities
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve discrepancies
- Support the smooth day-to-day functioning of the accounting department
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Requirements
- 3–10 years of practical bookkeeping experience (formal accounting studies not required; hands-on experience is most important)
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Excel
- Bilingual: must understand and speak French and be comfortable working mainly in English (approximately 70% English, 30% French)
- Comfortable working onsite full-time in Laval
- Loyal, adaptable, and eager to learn; must be a good cultural fit for a tight-knit team
Work Schedule and Compensation
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break
- 40 hours per week
