The Opportunity

The Horizon CPA is a mid-size professional accounting firm located in downtown Vancouver. We provide hands-on accounting, tax compliance, advisory and financial planning services to entrepreneurs, professional corporations, and other privately-owned entities.

What You\'ll Do

As part of our team, you\'ll handle a variety of bookkeeping and accounting support tasks, including :

  • Full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other bookkeeping applications
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Accounts payable and receivable
  • Payroll processing and remittances
  • WCB filings and reconciliations
  • GST / PST filings and compliance
  • Month-end and year-end preparation for accountants
  • Communicating with clients and government agencies (CRA, WCB, etc.) in a professional, approachable way

What We\'re Looking For
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience in QBO
  • Strong knowledge of accrual bookkeeping, debits / credits, reconciliations, and payroll
  • Experience with GST / PST filings, WCB, and T1 tax preparation an asset
  • Experience with CaseWare, Karbon, is an asset
  • Fast learner who can adapt to new systems and processes quickly
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable
  • Clear communicator who can work well with both clients and colleagues
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Please note: This position is not suitable for CPA candidates — it is a dedicated bookkeeping role with tax support responsibilities.
