Job description

About the Role

As our Bookkeeper, you'll play a key role in our day-to-day financial operations and month-end close process. You’ll work directly with the Finance Manager supporting multi-entity operations and helping to drive accuracy and timeliness in our financial reporting.

What You’ll Do

  • Accounts payable: enter, approve, and cross-reference vendor invoices
  • Reconcile credit card and bank statements monthly
  • Support the month-end close process, including:
  • Monthly sales tax reconciliations and filings
  • Monthly accrual and prepaid schedules
  • Journal entries and posting in QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Monthly revenue reconciliations
  • Prepare internal bank summaries and intercompany transfers
  • Maintain and update consolidation workbooks across multiple legal entities
  • Assist with payroll execution and bank transfers
  • Calculate employee benefit premiums and manage related payroll deductions

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) with a concentration in Accounting or diploma in Accounting
  • 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (SaaS, tech, or startup experience is a bonus)
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Solid understanding of Canadian payroll and sales tax
  • Highly organized, process-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-currency environment
  • Familiarity with employee benefits management and payroll systems
  • Interest in improving and documenting finance processes as we grow
