Our client, a respected organization in the financial services sector, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in full-cycle accounting who thrives in a hands-on environment and enjoys taking ownership of their work. This individual will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, supporting month and year-end close, handling various transactional accounting tasks, and assisting with payroll and commission-related duties.

Process all Accounts Payable transactions and ensure timely payments

Record daily carrier deposits and monitor bank transactions for accuracy

Reconcile monthly statements and maintain accurate financial records

Prepare financial reports and support internal reporting requirements

Assist with monthly journal entries and general ledger maintenance

Process employee and agent commission payments

Liaise with auditors and assist with audit preparation and documentation

Maintain employee timesheets and support HR-related recordkeeping

Assist in onboarding documentation and payroll tax preparation

Track and report on cash flow and contribute to financial analysis

Ensure data accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures

Provide administrative support for finance-related projects and tasks Qualifications :

5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience

Post-secondary degree in Accounting or related program

Working towards CPA an asset

Experience within a financial services environment an asset
