Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience managing financial records in a fast-paced environment.

We'd consider candidates who apply for a full-time or part-time position!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Prepare and process payroll
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management
  • Manage accounts, invoices, and expenses
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Support audits and tax preparation as needed
  • Perform general administrative duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, responding to emails, maintaining employee records, maintaining vehicle insurance policies, etc.
  • Ensure safeguarding and confidentiality of all customer lists and internal proprietary information and work products
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the operation of a busy restoration company

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficient in QuickBooks or other accounting software
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with payroll and tax filing
  • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
