Bookkeeper

Rainy River District Women’s Shelter of Hope is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. We can offer flexible work ours if required.

SALARY: Negotiable & Based on Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide all bookkeeping duties for Rainy River District Women’s Shelter of Hope
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting Software
  • Working knowledge of payroll systems
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and A/R, A/P principles
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Monthly remittances such as HST, WSIB, Source Deductions, Corporate tax remittances etc.
  • Reconciliation of bank, Visa’s, month end and year end

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage)
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, etc.
  • Experience with payroll processing is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills an attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines
  • Experience, courses and/or a diploma is an asset
  • The successful candidate must provide a clear vulnerable sector check. The Rainy River District Shelter of Hope will cover all cost incurred.
